Biography

2015-16: Named First Team All-Western Athletic Conference…selected to the WAC All-Defensive Team and the All-WAC Tournament Team…started all 34 games as the Aggies won their second-straight WAC regular-season title…voted team captain…averaged 13.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.1 steals…ranked second on the team in scoring and 10th in the WAC…ranked seventh in the WAC in assists (127)...eighth in the WAC in steals (37)…led the Aggies at the free throw line, hitting 89-of-107 for an 81.7 percentage, good for fourth in the WAC and 131st nationally…led NM State from 3-point range, connecting on 69-of-180 for a 38.3-percentage to rank fourth in the WAC…the 69 made 3-pointers are 12th most in a season at NM State and the 180 attempts from beyond the arc rank seventh in a season for the Aggies…notched a career-high 26 points in Aggies’ victory at UTEP (12/19) thanks to six 3-point field goals in the win… recorded a career-high eight assists at Grand Canyon (1/9)…notched his third career game-winning shot when he buried a 28-foot 3-pointer that swished at the buzzer to beat CSU Bakersfield (1/23)  68-67 in double overtime in Bakersfield…posted his first-career double-double with 16 points and a career-high 10 rebounds at CSUB as well…also named WAC Player of the Week on Jan. 25 for his heroics…has collected 860 career points…currently tied for 15th on the NM State all-time assist list with 241…moved into seventh for 3-point field goals, 3-point attempts and 3-point percentage, hitting 137-of-337 – good for 40.7-percent…was honored before the year by being named to Preseason All-WAC First Team by both the league’s coaches and media.
 
2014-15: Started in 33-of-34 games as a sophomore…averaged 9.3 points and 2.4 rebounds…led Aggies and ranked ninth in the WAC with 2.7 assists per game…second on team and third in the WAC in steals (1.5 per game)…led the WAC in 3-point field goal percentage (.457, 58-127) and sixth in the WAC in 3-pointers made per game (1.71)…dished out a season-high six assists in 71-64 win over UTEP (12/6)…scored a season-high 21 points in 69-67 loss to New Mexico (12/20)…hit a 3-pointer to send the game into overtime against No. 24/25 Colorado State (12/27)…drove in the game-winning layup with 2.2 second left to beat Texas Southern (12/30) 54-52…drained a 3-pointer with 4.6 to play to beat UC Irvine (1/3) 70-67 on the road.
 
2013-14: Played in 19 games as a true freshman…averaged 3.9 points…scored a season-high 12 points in a 97-47 win over Northern New Mexico (12/21)…recorded his first double-digit game with 10 points against UMKC (2/13)…poured in 11 points vs. Idaho (3/15) at the WAC Tournament.
 
High School: First-Team All-State performer at Arlington Country Day High School… led the Apaches to their second-straight state championship game as a senior with a 25-7 overall record and averaged 16 points and five assists….guided ACD to its first a state championship with a 23-2 overall record…earned second-team all-state selections behind 11 points and five assists per game…scored 10 points to go with four assists per game as the Apaches finished 23-8 on the year to go with a state championship appearance during his sophomore campaign.
 
Personal: Son of Sheryl Baker…has five older brothers, Travis, Corey, Evann, Jeremy and Ryan…Travis and Corey played basketball at the junior college level while Evann and Jeremy played at Quinnipiac…majoring an individualized studies.
