team lost for the second consecutive day in California on Saturday, losing to
UC Irvine, the 59th ranked team in the country, 7-0. The Aggies now move to 1-4 on the season.

Jodie Williams and Denise Van Der Ben came within a couple of points of
defeating an Anteater team that included the 41st ranked player in
the country, UC Irvine's Franziska Goettsching.
The match remained closed throughout but Williams and Van Der Ben
eventually lost, 8-6.
NM State would go
on to lose its other two doubles matches as well.
The Aggies will
conclude their weekend west-coast road trip on Sunday (Feb. 24) when they face
off with Cal State Northridge.
"We have to stay
positive and be ready to play Northridge in the morning," Fernandez said.
