FORT COLLINS, COLO.-The New Mexico State University cross country team wrapped up its final team competition of the 2012 season at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships on Friday, Nov. 9.

The men's team finished 15th with 389 points in the men's 10K and the women's team finished 16th with 382 points in the women's 6K.

In the men's event, junior Kevin Palmer finished first for NM State and 67th overall with a time of 32:10.7.  Senior Jonah Ruybalid finished close behind for second for NM State and 69th overall with a time of 32:11.9.  Freshman Paul Raymond continues to perform strong early in his Aggie career when he finished third for NM State and 72nd overall with a time of 32:19.1.  Senior Ian Ruybalid finished fourth for NM State and 88th overall with a time of 33:00.6.  Fellow senor Ryan Fenton rounded out the top five for NM State when he finished 93rd overall with a time of 33:09.4.  Senior Terry Williams finished sixth for NM State with a time of 33:27.7 and senior Robert Selph finished seventh for NM State with a time of 34:22.4.

In the women's event, senior Courtney Schultz finished first for NM State and sixth overall with a time of 20:26.6, and senior Camille Schultz finished second for NM State and 21st overall with a time of 21:10.4.  Junior Sarabel Bojorquez finished third for NM State with a time 23:46.0 and freshman Mayra Chavez finished fourth for NM State with a time of 23:56.8.  Sophomore Caroline Lewiecki rounded out the top five for NM State with a time of 24:10.0.  Junior Rylie Hightower also competed for the Aggies, finishing sixth for NM State with a time of 25:00.8.  Jenna Padilla finished seventh for NM State with a time of 25:07.2.

Any Aggies who qualify for the NCAA National Championships will compete on Saturday, Nov. 17, in Louisville, Ky.
