LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The New Mexico State women's golf team is teaming up with Price's Creameries to make a donation to the Big Brother, Big Sisters of Southwestern New Mexico, at a dinner in the ballroom of the NM State Golf Course clubhouse, Sunday, Oct. 11 at 6 p.m. (MDT).

At most women's intercollegiate golf tournaments it has been a tradition for the host school to give a tee prize to each participant.  This year with the sponsorship of Price's and general manager Gene Carrejo, the NM State women's golf team will donate Adidas gym bags to the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program.  Head coach Paul Brilliant knows the impact this can have on everybody involved.

"This is an excellent way for all these collegiate players from all over the country to actually come to NMSU and leave behind a memento from their experience and have an impact on young people here in southern New Mexico," Brilliant said.

The Price's "Give 'Em Five" Intercollegiate will bring in 16 teams from around the country and kicks off with a practice round Sunday, Oct. 11. A banquet where Chief Executive Officer Stacie Christiano will accept the donation from Mr. Carrejo on behalf of the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program.  The banquet begins at 6 p.m. in the NM State golf course clubhouse.

The three day tournament begins play at 8 a.m. (MT), Monday, Oct. 13 and will go through Wednesday, Oct. 14.
