NORMAN, Okla.-- New Mexico State women’s track and field’s standout thrower Corissa Hutchinson’s season came to an end after a solid performance at the 2009 Midwest Regionals, in Norman, Okla., hosted by Oklahoma, Saturday, May 30.
The junior thrower placed 24th overall in the shot put after recoding a mark of 46-07.25.
Assistant coach Paul Harkins said he was very proud of Hutchinson.
“She has been a consistent threat for us the whole year,” Harkins said. “She has been battling some back injury and this is the best she has been throwing in a while. We know she is capable of more and I know she is going to work very hard in the off season. She has done a great job for us.”
