High School: Gansneder, a Normandy Park, Wash., native, swims for King Aquatics. She is a freestyle specialist that has the speed to contribute in the relays. Gansneder was a four-time state finalist and four-year letterwinner at Mt. Rainier High School in Des Moines, Wash. As a senior, Gansneder led to the Rams to a fifth-place finish at state with an 8-1 record. In addition, she was an all-American in the 200-free and 400-free relays as a senior. At the state meet, she won the 200-free relay, and finished second in 400-free relay, fifth in 200 free and sixth in the 500 free in her final season. She led the team to the Seamount League title as a sophomore. In the 100 free, Gansneder was crowned the league champion as a sophomore and senior. In the 200 free, she won the event as a freshman. Gansneder has multiple senior sectional cuts in various events. She also finished in the top 8 in the 200 free at the Pacific Northwest Swimming Championship meet in summer 2009.
Personal: She is the daughter of Greg and Kim Gansneder and was born in Burien, Wash. Gansneder is pursing a degree in English.
