LAS CRUCES – The New Mexico State women’s basketball program is hosting its second annual camp in Farmington, N.M., which runs Monday and Tuesday at Farmington High School. The camp is for boys and girls from all grades kindergarten through 12th.
The camp sessions run from 9 a.m. to noon and again from 1:30 to 3 p.m. both days. Last season the Aggies had a very successful showing in their first trip to Farmington.
Head coach Darin Spence said that this camp is part of a great outreach program to the kids in the state of New Mexico, providing them with a glimpse of New Mexico State University and its athletics department.
“We’re excited to be up in the Four Corners area to promote NM State and Aggie women’s basketball,” Spence said. “We have established ourselves in this area with this camp and it is growing each year.”
The Aggies have already hosted four camps this summer. Following the Farmington camp, the women's basketball team hosts a second session of the Little Aggies Camp, July 13-15, at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces.
