2007 (Senior): Marvin red shirted during his second season with the Aggies.
2006 (Junior): Betts played in 10 games, starting one at defensive back for the Aggies. He tallied 16 tackles on the season, two solo and 14 assisted. He recorded a season-high four tackles against Hawaii (10/21). Versus No.15 Boise State (10/15) and Louisiana Tech (12/2) he tallied three tackles apiece. He accumulated a single pass break three times against Southeastern Louisiana (8/31), New Mexico (9/9) and Texas Southern (10/30). He also posted three kick returns for 57 yards, with his longest against Texas Southern (9/16) as he ran for 23 yards. Against Idaho (10/7) he returned two kicks for 34 yards, his longest kick return was 19 yards.
Palomar College: Betts played two years at Palomar College where he earned first team Mission Conference and first team all-State California JC in 2005. For his career, Betts grabbed eight interceptions.
High School: During his senior season Betts helped his team to an 8-3 record and an Avocado League Championship. As a junior, Betts help Oceanside to an 11-2 record, a league championship and a CIF Championship. He earned all-League honors in 2003 and played in the San Diego All-Stars game.
Personal: Marvin is the son of Michael and Toshiko Betts. He is undecided in his major.
