2008 (Freshman): Jones redshirted during his first season with the Aggies.

Hargraves Military Academy: Jones played safety for Hargraves in 2007, helping them to an 8-3 overall record.

High School: Jones was a quarterback and defensive back for Linden High School from 2003-06. As a junior and senior he helped his team to the second round of the state playoffs. Jones earned all-County honors as a junior and senior and was named to the Snapple Bowl All-Star game as a senior. He also participated in basketball and track & field while in high school.

Personal: Jones in the son of Jerry Sr. and Corissa Jones. He plans to major in computer science while at NMSU.
