LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- Junior Brynn Larson will join seven other collegiate equestrian reining competitors February 2 at the Arizona Sun Circuit Shootout, hosted by the Arizona Quarter Horse Association in Scottsdale, Arizona. This season, Larson is 8-0-1 in reining competitions, including six wins on the road.

“This is the first year for the Sun Circuit Shootout,” head coach Robin Morris-Walters said. “Brynn is having a great season and is undefeated. She rides strong and confident and this was just a natural fit for her to represent the Aggies at this event.”

Featuring collegiate student-athletes from the National Collegiate Equestrian and Intercollegiate Horse Show associations, the Sun Circuit Shootout is a new addition to Arizona Sun Circuit for 2014.

The Sun Circuit Shootout is one of three invitational offered for collegiate western competitors. The AQHA World Championship Show is host to the AQHA Collegiate Horsemanship Challenge, the only invitational for collegiate horsemanship riders. The National Reining Horse Association hosts a collegiate reining invitational in conjunction with the NRHA Derby.
