LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State equestrian team improved one spot to No. 8 in the latest National Collegiate Equestrian Association poll, which was announced Friday, Oct. 25.

Georgia remains No.1 in the poll after defeating South Carolina in a tie-breaker in the first Southeastern Conference competition of the season. Auburn stays No. 2 and South Carolina remains at the third spot despite the loss to UGA.

Baylor improved to 4-1 on the year and improves to No. 4 and TCU rounds out the top five.

Kansas State dropped to No. 6 in the poll and Oklahoma State also fell two spots to seventh and the Aggies moved up a spot form the last poll to the No. 8 spot. Texas A&M and SMU round out the top 10.

The poll is released twice a month and the next set of rankings is due out in November.
