NM State Equestrian Set to Open the 2013-14 Season

LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- The New Mexico State Equestrian team will open its 2013-14 season with a dual match up against SMU on Sept. 26, followed by the Willis Invitational in Waco, Texas, Sept. 27-28.

The Aggies will take on South Dakota State, Tennessee-Martin and host school Baylor in the two-day tournament.

Last year, the Aggies did not face SMU during the season. At the Willis Invitational, the Aggies went 2-1 overall with wins over Delaware State and Ohio State/Miami-Ohio. NM State lost to Baylor twice in 2012-13, once at the Willis Invitational and once in Las Cruces.

The Hunter Seat team will be represented by Juliana Ball, Chelsea Brady, Cori Cromwell, Shannon Dooley, Julie Frey, Emily McConnell, Hannah Swarthout and Amber Tassel.

The Western team will saddle up Marissa Bartmann, Courtney Cruse, Lauren DeVoe, Clarissa Edgerton, Brynn Larson, Haley Newkirk, Rianna Storey, Jaimie Story, Stefanie Story, Tara Wilson and Jessica Woolsey.
