NM State Western Team Hosts Oklahoma State, Saturday

LAS CRUCES, N.M. -The NM State western team will host Oklahoma State, Saturday, at the NM State Equestrian Center in Las Cruces, N.M. This will be a western competition only and the event begins at 10 a.m. with Horsemanship, followed by Reining.

"We are looking for a consistent, strong showing from a group of riders that gained a lot of experience last fall," Western Coach Robin Morris said. "I expect that we will be able to step right back into where we were at the end of the fall season and keep moving forward.?

The Aggies defeated Oklahoma State last season, 6-4 on the Western side.

The western team had a strong fall season, going 4-1 overall, while winning its last four competitions. Riding for the Aggies this weekend will be Chelsea Campbell, Kyra Cruse, Megan Gould, Pamela Evans and Jessica Woolsey in the Horsemanship competition. In the Reining event, Breanne Bertrand, Chelsea Campbell, Christina Keyes, Kate Goodwin and Tara Wilson will compete for the Aggies.
