LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State equestrian team will travel to Brookings, S.D., November 17-18 to compete in the final two dual competitions of the 2012 fall season. The Aggies are currently 3-3 on the season and last competed on Oct. 13 against west Texas A&M, winning 11-3.
“I expect our last two competitions this fall to be solid outings for us,” head coach Robin Morris-Walters said. “We have had some ups and downs this fall but I think the experience with fall has helped us grow as a team and I think we will ride well and finish the fall season strong.”
The weekend’s competition will be held at the DeHaan Equestrian Center, as the Aggies will face South Dakota State and Georgia.
Representing the Aggies on the Western team will be Marissa Bartmann, Lauren DeVoe, Megan Gould, Brynn Larson, Tara Wilson, Jessica Woolsey, Stefanie Story, Haley Newkirk and Rianna Storey, while Laura Bostwick, Shannon Dooley, Ruby Jenkins, Emily McConnell, Sam Stephens, Hannah Swarthout and
Amber Tassel will compete on the Hunter Seat side of the competition.
The Last time NM State faced South Dakota State was back in 2011, winning 11-4, while the Aggies took on Georgia in 2010, falling 11-5.
