Wilson named NCEA Reining Rider of the Month

 LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- The National Collegiate Equestrian Association announced its Riders of the Month for September on Friday, Oct. 11. Senior Tara Wilson was among the four riders to receive the award. She was recognized for her accomplishments in the reining event.

Wilson is currently 4-0 on the season with each of her wins coming on the road. She picked up wins against SMU (66.5-66), Baylor (73-30), SDSU (77-76) and UTM (72-71). Wilson earned MVP honors in her competitions against Baylor and South Dakota State. She has an average season score of 72 in the event.

After a 2-1 start to the season, the Aggies compete against Delaware State and Fresno State on Nov. 1-2 in Dover, Del.
