Update: Aggie Fans Have Options to Watch or Listen to the 2014 WAC Basketball Tournament

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The men’s basketball team, the No. 2 seed, will face the No. 5 seed Idaho at 8 p.m. (MT) Saturday, March 15, in the 2014 WAC Championship. There are several different ways fans can catch all the action tonight.

All the men’s basketball games can be heard on KGRT 103.9 FM with NM State Hall of Famer and ‘Voice of the Aggies’ Jack Nixon. The pregame show for each game will start 30 minutes prior to tip-off. All the women’s basketball contests can be heard on KSNM 570 AM with Jay Sanderson bringing the call back to Las Cruces. Fans can also listen to all the radio broadcasts at NMStateSports.com, through Aggie Access. A monthly Aggie Access subscription is just $6.95. Locally, Allen Theatres Cineport 10 will host fans who want to watch the men’s team. Admission is free. If both teams progress in the tournament, the championship game for both the men’s and women’s teams will be broadcast on ESPNU and can be been at The Game Bar & Grill, M5, Allen Theatres Cineport 10 (men’s game only), Buffalo Wild Wings and Dublin’s.

NM State students will have an opportunity to watch the action at the Corbett Center. Men’s second round and championship games will be shown in the Corbett Center food court next to Einstein’s. All NM State games will be shown in Corbett Center pending the advancement of each team in the tournament.

The WAC will stream the tournament via the internet. A total of 12 games will be available live on WACSports.tv.  The only games not shown will be the men’s and women’s championships due to contractual obligations with ESPN.  Those games will be available on ESPN3.  Individual tournament games may be purchased for $7.95 each.  The tournament starts Wednesday, March 12, with the women’s quarterfinals while the men’s quarterfinals will be held the following day.  Friday, March 14, features two women’s semifinal games and two men’s semifinal games. Men’s Basketball

In the event that the men’s basketball team wins the 2014 WAC Basketball Championship, the NM State Athletics Department will hold an NCAA Tournament Selection Show Party, Sunday, March 16, from 3-5 p.m. at The Game Bar & Grill. The selection show begins at 4 p.m. (MT). Fans are encouraged to join the men’s basketball team and watch were the Aggies will play in the first round.
