The Aggies begin their dual match season by facing Arizona at 9 a.m. on Sunday.  The Wildcats, who are led by 13-year head coach Vicky Maes, are coming off their first dual match of the spring season, a 7-0 win over Northern Arizona.  Arizona will follow its matchup with NM State by taking on San Francisco in the afternoon.

NM State will also face San Francisco at the Robson Tennis Center.  Their matchup is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 3, beginning at 11 a.m. The Dons are already four matches into the 2014 spring season and have a 4-0 record. San Francisco is fresh off of a 7-0 victory against UC Santa Barbara.

The Aggies are led by head coach Ivan Fernandez who enters his fourth season as director of the NM State Tennis Center and at the helm of the NM State women’s tennis team.  During fall play, Aggie junior Denise Van Der Ben advanced to the third round of singles play at the 2013 edition of the ITA Mountain Regional tournament, before falling to No. 41 Lucia Batta of UNLV.  Also, junior Susana Alcaraz, sophomore Mia Brandt, and freshman Brittany Collens all won a tournament bracket during fall competition.
