NM State Travels to Texas to Face No. 61 TCU, Columbia and UTA

Las Cruces, N.M.-The No. 69 men's tennis team of New Mexico State University travel to Texas this weekend March 18-20, for a 3-match road trip against No. 61 Texas Christian University, Columbia University and University of Texas-Arlington. 

            NM State opens up with a match against TCU on Friday, March 18, in Fort Worth, Texas.  NM State will then travel to Arlington, Texas, to face Columbia on Saturday, March 19, and will conclude on Sunday, March 20, against UTA.

            The Aggies enter the weekend having won six of their last seven matches.  NM State is currently 7-5 for the season.

            Senior Arthur Surreaux remains nationally ranked In singles, currently sitting at No. 67.

            TCU is currently 4-8, with wins over UTA and No. 38 UC Irvine.  Eight of TCU's 12 opponents were ranked in the top 40.

            Columbia is currently 6-5 heading into Friday, with a win over Army and two separate wins over Boston College.

            UTA also heads into Friday with a 6-5 record, with wins over Utah and Southern Mississippi. 

            The only nationally ranked singled opponent the NM State will face this weekend will be No. 74 Emanuel Brighiu of TCU.  NM State will also have to face Brighiu and Christopher Price of TCU, ranked No. 44 in doubles.
