LAS CRUCES, N.M. (Feb. 26) - New Mexico State University's head women's golf coach Jackie Booth has been selected to serve on the NCAA Division-I Women's Golf Committee.

Booth was chosen by a nomination and selection process that was headed by the Western Athletic Conference.  She will serve as a representative of the West Region and her term will run through Sept. 1, 2015.

"Seeing that the committee is not all golf coaches," Booth said, "I feel it will be my responsibility to represent the coaches and players to the committee on what we believe and what we want to do as a group with college golf."

Among other responsibilities, the committee works on reviewing and updating the rules and regulations for regular-season tournaments as well as the NCAA Women's Golf Championships.  The committee also selects the at-large teams that, along with the conference champions, will advance to the NCAA Regionals after each season.
