NM State Women's Golf to play at BYU Estrada Classic

Las Cruces, N.M - The New Mexico State women's golf team is headed out to St. George, Utah, on March 20-22 for the annual BYU at Estrada Classic. The tournament will be held at the Snow Canyon Country Club a 6,154- yard, par 72 golf course.

The lineup for the Aggies will consist of seniors Mint Swaschuto, Pang Chanachai and Buz Bowerman-Ritchie. Also traveling will be junior Ashley Elias and freshman Demi Mak. The competition will begin on Monday with an 18-hole stroke play round, followed by 18 holes on both Tuesday and Wednesday determining the BYU at Estrada Classic team and individual champions of 2011.

The Aggies placed 10th in the Bruin Wave Invitational last week, coming in right behind Oklahoma. UCLA won the title. Swaschuto was NM States' top finisher, ending the tournament tied for 21st with a 9-over-par, 225.  She had her best day in round one with a 1-over-par 73 and carded a 3-over-par 75 on day three, carding 38 pars out of 54 holes played. 

NM State will be going up against 15 other teams from 10 other states that will consist of Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
