San Antonio, Texas – The New Mexico State men’s golf team opened up play the Lone Star Invitational, Sunday morning. After the first round of the play the Aggies are tied for 13th overall with a first-round score of 18-over par, 306.
Willy Hogan led the Aggies in round one with a 1-over par, 73. He tallied three birdies on the day and is tied for 18th. Justin Shin carded a 3-over par, 75, recording two birdies. He is tied for 39th. Kenneth Fadke was 50over par, 77 on the day tying him for 55 overall after one birdie.
Taylor Mihok was 9-over par, 81 after the first round, tying him for 71st, while Derek Baade carded a 13-over par, 85 in round-one.
Zach Adams played for the Aggies as an individual, tallying a 9-over par, 81, placing him in a tie for 71st.
North Texas leads the team tournament at 4-under par, followed by Denver (-1), UTSA (+2), Texas State (+5) and Central Arkansas (+5). Rodolfo Cazaubon of North Texas leads the tournament at 4-under par.
The Aggies will be back on the course for the second round Monday morning.
