Madigan Tied for Lead at Western Intercollegiate

Santa Cruz, Calif. - Senior Tim Madigan to currently tied for first at 3-under par, 137, after two rounds of the 65th Annual Western Intercollegiate, at the Pasatiempo Golf Club. The Aggies remain in ninth as a team at 37-over par.

Madigan carded four birdies in his second round, firing a 2-under par, 68. Junior Gaston De La Torre shot 4-over par, 74 in the second round and is now tied for 54th at 9-over par. Junior Zachery Fullerton and sophomore Justin Shin are 10-over par for the tournament and tied for 58th after two rounds of play. Both players carded rounds of 6-over par, 76 in the second round.

Freshman Collin Pratt shot 5-over par, 75 in round two and is 11-over par for the tournament, tying him for 65th. Junior Joon Lee bounced back from a tough start in round one to card a 6-over par, 76 in round two. He is 17-over par for the tournament and tied for 78th overall.

UCLA, Augusta State, USC, San Diego State and Arizona State round out the top-5 teams in the tournament. The Aggies are back on the course this morning for the final round of play.
