Fadke II wins 2013 Texas Collegiate Amateur Tour Championship

Sophomore Kenneth Fadke II won the 2013 Texas Collegiate Amateur Tour Championship at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas, Tuesday afternoon. Fadke II, a native of Hobbs, N.M., carded a three-round score of 13-under par, 203.

Fadke II carded 5-under par, 67 in rounds one and two, followed by a final round of 3-under par, 69. He won the tournament by an amazing 10 strokes over second-place finisher Charley Graves (-3). He becomes the third Aggie golfer this summer to win a tournament, joining Beyhan and Hogan.

Fadke II and the rest of the Aggies begin their fall tournament schedule on Sept. 8-9 in Colorado Springs, Colo., for the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational.

Also former NM State golfer Justin Shin is currently playing in the U.S. Amateur at Brookline, Mass., at The Country Club. He currently in the round of 64 and tied for ninth overall.
