NM State Menís Golf Play Well at the Cactus Thaw

LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- The New Mexico State men’s golf team sent six golfers to compete in the 2014 Cactus Thaw in El Paso, Texas at the par-71, 6,603-yard Lone Star Golf Course. No team score was recorded just the two-round tournament.

Senior Zach Adams led NM State with a two-round score of 2-under par, 140 (72-68), placing him in a tie for second overall. Freshman Louis Medina finished the two-round tournament tied for sixth over will with a score of 1-over par, 143 (73-70).

Sophomore Joey Martinez was 6-over par, 148 (77-71) after the two round tournament, placing tied for 18th, while senior Willy Hogan carded a 9-over par, 151 (79-72), finishing tied for 22nd.

Sophomore Taylor Mihok was 11-over par, 153 (80-73), finishing tied for 25th, as freshman David Wilson rounded out the Aggie competitors with a two-round score of 13-over par, 155 (79-76). He placed tied for 28th overall.

The Aggies will be back in action February 21-23 at the Bayou City Classic in Houston, Texas.
