NM State Menís Golf Finishes 11th at William H. Tucker

Albuquerque, N.M. – The New Mexico State men’s golf team wrapped up play at the William H. Tucker, Saturday afternoon. The Aggies finished 11th overall with a three-round score of 56-over par, 920 (301-315-204) at the 7,562-yard, par 72, UNM Championship Golf Course.

Patrick Beyhan led NM State with a tie for 16th at 7-over par, 223. In the final round, Beyhan carded a 3-over par, 75. Kenneth Fadke II tied for 24th overall with a three-round score of 9-over par, 225, as he shot 4-over par, 76 in the final round.

Willy Hogan carded a three-round score of 22-over par, 238, finishing in a tie for 86th overall. He shot a final round score of 5-over par, 77. Travis Benson finished tied for 82nd with a three-round score of 23-over par, 239, after shooting a final round of 4-over par, 76.

Brett Walker rounded out the Aggie competitors, shooting a final round score of 13-over par, 85. He finished the tournament with a three-round score of 31-over par, 247, placing in a tie for 97th.

New Mexico won the tournament at 1-under par, followed by Arizona State (+17), USC (+23), UNLV (+24) and BYU (+30). New Mexico’s Andrej Bevins and Gavin Green finished tied for first place with a three-round score of 5-under par.

The Aggies will host the 2013 Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate on Oct. 21-22.
