Aggies Wrap Up Play at Falcon Invitational

Colorado Springs, Colo. - The New Mexico State men's golf team struggled in the final round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational at the par 72, 7,370-yard, Eisenhower Golf Course. The Aggies carded a final round score of 16-over par, 304, finishing the tournament at 23-over par, 887, tying for tenth.

Kenneth Fadke led the Aggies for the tournament, finishing tied for 31st at 5-over par, 221, carding a final round score of 7-over par, 79. Justin Shin was 6-over par, 78 in his final round, wrapping up the tournament at 6-over par, 222, placing tied for 35th.

Taylor Mihok shot a 3-over par, 75 in the third round and tied for 35th overall with a three-round score of 6-over par, 222. Derek Baade finished tied for 63rd with a three-round score of 13-over par, 229. In his final round, Baade was 6-over par, 78.

Brett Walker rounded out the Aggie competitors carding the Aggies' lowest round of the day with a 1-over par, 73. For the tournament, Walker was 14-over par, 230, placing tied for 66th.

Colorado won the team title with a three-round score of 12-under par, followed by Coastal Carolina (E), UNLV (E), Colorado State (+2) and Air Force (+2). Jason Burstyn of Colorado took the individual title with a three-round score of 9-under par.

The Aggies will be back in competition on Sept. 28-29 in Albuquerque, N.M. for the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate.
