This spring Reedy has served as team captain and helped lead Estrella Foothills to a No. 2 seed in Class 3A heading into the state of Arizona high school softball playoffs this weekend, after the Wolves finished the season undefeated. Reedy and her teammates never lost a game at home over a four-year span. As a senior Reedy also earned Most Valuable Player honors at the Wickenburg Classic as a member of the all-tournament team.
As a junior in 2011 Reedy and her teammates won the Arizona Class 3A State Championship in softball, avenging a loss in the 2010 championship game to top-seeded Winslow. Estrella Foothills advanced to the Class 3A semifinals in 2009, in Reedy's freshman season.
In both her junior and sophomore seasons Reedy was named to the Class 3A All-State First Team as well as the Class 3A All-Region First Team in suburban Phoenix.
During her sophomore campaign, Reedy set school records in batting average, slugging percentage, total RBI, singles, doubles and triples. She was later named to the Arizona Central 3A All-State tournament team.
Reedy claimed Class 3A Freshman Player of the Year honors from the Arizona Central in her first season at Estrella Foothills. That year, she earned 3A All-State honorable mention honors as well as All-Region second team accolades.
In the offseason Reedy competes as a member of the Arizona Killer Bees travel softball team located in Gilbert, Ariz. and coached by Mike Grimaldi.
With a grade point average of over 4.0, Reedy is also accomplished in the classroom. She currently ranks sixth in her class. She is a peer mediator and was selected as a member of the superintendent student advisory counsel (SSAC) at Estrella Foothills. Reedy has also volunteered with the Special Olympics in her free time.
She is the daughter of Robert and Sheri Reedy.
"Tatum will be a great addition to our team because she knows what it takes to win," said Rodolph. "She has a good work ethic on and off of the field. Tatum does a great job managing pitchers, calling pitches and all of the intangibles great catchers possess. We are very happy to welcome her into Aggie softball."
Reedy is the third player Rodolph signed to next year's recruiting class joining fall signees Emma Adams, a senior utility from Cibola High School in Albuquerque, and Makayla McAdams, a senior pitcher from Ironwood Ridge High School in Tucson, Ariz.
The 2012 Aggies conclude the regular season at San Jose State this weekend.
