LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The New Mexico State baseball team dropped game one of the double header 12-2 to Fresno State at Presley Askew Field, Friday, May 11.

NM State is now 30-18 overall and 7-6 in Western Athletic Conference play, while the Bulldogs are 22-23 on the year and 5-8 in league play.  Aggie starting pitcher Ryan Beck was credited with the loss and is now 4-5 on the year, while Fresno State pitcher Tyler Linehan picked up a complete-game win after he struck out eight batters and gave up only two runs.

Junior second baseman Parker Hipp was the only consistent Aggie hitter as he went 3-of-4 at the dish and senior shortstop Zach Voight  played well on the field marking seven assists and one putout, although he did tally one error.

The Aggies and Bulldogs face each other in game two of the doubleheader as soon as the umpires lift the weather delay (due to lightning).  The second game is estimated to start at 6:45pm (MT).
