DENVER
- LaSasha Aldredge has been named the Verizon Western Athletic Conference
Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week for the week of April 16-22,
winning the award for a third time this season.
Aldredge, a junior from Fresno, Calif., broke the all-time school record for the
400-meter dash for a second time this season when she notched a time of 54.03
seconds at the Michael Johnson/Baylor Invitational in Waco, Texas over the
weekend. The time currently leads the WAC and is ranked 29th in the NCAA West
performance list. Aldredge also competed in the 4x400-meter relay, helping NM
State finish fourth overall with a time of 46.44.
Aldredge was also named WAC Athlete of the Week for the week of March 19-25 and March 12-18.
