LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The New Mexico State women's track and field team earned five invites to the NCAA West Prelims in Eugene, Ore., to be held at the end of May.
Sisters Courtney and Camille Schultz will represent the Aggies in the 10,000m, while junior Jndia Cleveland will compete in the long jump and 400m hurdles.
Other Aggies invited were sophomore LaSasha Aldredge for the 400m-dash and senior Kelsey Brennan for the javelin throw.
The Schultz sisters placed first and second in the 10,000m at the WAC Championships with Camille taking first in a time of 36:53.48 and Courtney finishing closely behind in a time of 36:53.75.
Cleveland placed second at the WAC Championships in the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.76 and was selected in the long jump for her overall body of work during the season.
Aldredge finished third at the WAC in the 400m-dash in a time of 55.44 to earn a spot, while NM State dual athlete Kelsey Brennan, who also stars on the volleyball team, won the javelin at the WAC Championships with a throw of 46.15m (151-05).
The NCAA West Prelims begin Thursday, May 26 and end Saturday, May 28. The action will be held all day during the course of the event.
