Schultz Sisters Become 1st and 2nd All-Time in 5,000m

PALO ALTO, Calif. - Sophomores Courtney and Camille Schultz of the NM State track and field squad became first and second all-time in the 5,000m after their performances at the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., this past weekend.

Courtney Schultz finished the section three race in fourth place overall with a time of 16:41.20, which is over 11 seconds better than her previous school record of 16:52.24.

Courtney's sister Camille, finished the same race in fifth place overall with a time of 16:42.48, which is over 40 seconds better than her previous best of 17:24.27. Her new time moves her up from third to second on the NM State all-time list in the 5,000m.

The Schultz's sisters and the rest of the Aggie track and field squad continue their season next week at the WAC Championships in Honolulu, Hawaii. The action is set to begin Tuesday, May 10, and continue through Friday, May 13. The meet will be held all day during all four days.
