LAS CRUCES, N.M.- The New Mexico State track and field team will go north to Boise, Idaho this week for the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The Aggies head into the WAC Championships after a solid regular season that saw the Aggies break five school records including the (400m, mile run, 3,000m, 5,000m and the 4x400m relay). NM State also improved upon 26 times overall in the all-time top-10 lists.

"We match up very well for the WAC Championships," head coach Orin Richburg said. "We feel real good across the board."

Something new for the Aggies this year is having multiple athletes that can perform well in almost every event.

"We have more than one possibility in most events," Richburg said. "We just have more options to compete."

The WAC Championships begin this Thursday, Feb. 24 and continue thru Saturday, Feb. 26. The events will occur all day all three days. Check www.nmstateports.com for the results after each day of competition.
