Aggies Open UH Phill Hansel Invitational

HOUSTON, Texas (Nov. 15)-The New Mexico State swimming and diving team opened the UH Phill Hansel Invitational with performances in the finals of both freestyle and individual medley events.

In the 14-team, three-day invitational, the Aggies are in 12th place in the team standings with 17 points. In the 200 IM, the Aggies had two swimmers make the finals with sophomore Jessica Legge leading the way in 16th place, and junior Tricia Kiss finished in 27th.

A pair of freshmen paced the Aggies in the 500 free with Nicole Brennecke in 22nd place and Emily Nightingale in 31st. NM State began the meet with an 18th-place showing in the 200-free relay. The Aggies concluded the first day of invitational with a 12-place finish in the 400-medley relay.

The Aggies continue the UH Phill Hansel Invitational, Friday, Nov. 16.
