Cassandra Dixon

Cassandra Dixon begins her first season at New Mexico State as an assistant coach in 2012-13. She joined the Aggie swimming and diving program in September 2012. Dixon is responsible for coaching, assisting with team travel, handling administration duties and recruiting.

A Las Cruces native, Dixon returns to her hometown from Princeton, N.J., where she was a swim coach with the Princeton Fitness and Wellness Center since March 2011. She also works as a freelance Illustrator.

After swimming for the Las Cruces Aquatic Team, Dixon earned a scholarship to swim at Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga. She was a 16-time NAIA All-American, and she still holds the school records in the 50 free and 100 free. Dixon is a former NAIA National Record Holder in the 50 free and was a national champion in 2007. She earned a bachelor's degree in illustration in 2009.
