LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The Aggie cross country team will race in the Lori Fitzgerald Invitational this Thursday, Sept. 23 in Santa Teresa, N.M.
NM State will be competing against their I-10 rival UTEP, who is hosting the meet.
"This is a smaller, low key meet," assistant coach Paul Harkins said. "It gives us a chance to run some younger athletes."
Last year at the Lori Fitzgerald Invite the Aggies had four women in the top-ten, led by sophomore Courtney Schultz. Schultz ran a time of 16:48 and placed seventh. Also placing in the top-ten for the women were Camille Schultz (8th), Ingrid Flores (9th), and Chelsa McDonnell (10th).
On the men's side the Aggies were led by Ryan Fenton and Robert Selph who placed fifth and seventh respectively.
The Lori Fitzgerald Invitational starts at 5:45 p.m., at the Santa Teresa Golf Course.
