SAN MARCOS, Texas (Oct. 19)-The New Mexico State soccer team returned to WAC play but fell at Texas State, 3-0.

The Aggies (2-11-3, 0-4-1) started a four-match conference stint against the Bobcats (6-10-1, 3-3-0) to conclude the regular season.

"We struggled to ever really get in an attacking or possession rhythm," head coach Blair Quinn said. "And we really aren't built to overcome multiple goals against right now. Just a few too many mistakes, but we still have a chance to get in. We must win though."

The Bobcats scored quickly and had a 1-0 lead in the first minute of the first half. Texas State added two goals in the 59th and 87th minute of action. The Aggie offense tallied eight shots in the game but failed to convert.

The Aggies return home to host UTSA, Sunday, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m., in the home finale and senior day. NM State is celebrating its seven seniors with a postgame ceremony.
