POCATELLO, Idaho (Sept. 16)-In the first overtime match of the season, the New Mexico State soccer team recorded a 1-1 double overtime draw at Idaho State.

The Aggies moved to 6-2-1 on the year, while the Bengals are 3-4-1.

Junior forward Yolanda McMillion gave the Aggies a 1-0 lead in the 63rd minute of action with her second goal of the season. She took advantage of a one-on-one opportunity to knock it pass the keeper from 10 yards away.

In the 67th minute, Idaho State tied the match at 1-1 when its leading scorer freshman forward Amanda Ellsworth scored on a free kick.

"I thought we were better than them at times," head coach Blair Quinn said. "I certainly think we played better soccer. They were much more physical and more direct.

"Both goals came in the second half, and both teams played their way better in the second half. It was our first overtime game, which was important for us to get before conference play starts."

McMillion and senior forward Cassandra Branch led NM State with two shots each. Defensively, sophomore goalkeeper Erin Wosick grabbed four saves.

The Aggies continue their final non-conference road trip at Weber State, Sunday, Sept. 18 at noon.
