High School:

Scott signed during the fall 2011 early signing period. The ESPN HoopGurlz website ranked Scott at No. 38 nationally for wing players. HoopGurlz also ranked New Mexico State's 2012 commitments of Scott, Sasha Weber and Shay Young among the top-20 mid-major recruiting classes in the nation. The site stated the three perimeter players should provide plenty of scoring and ball-handling skills for the Aggies.

Aggie assistant coach Aarika Hughes was key in recruiting Scott to Las Cruces. Hughes coached Scott on the senior's AAU team, Team Concept in Oregon. Hughes also played for the AAU squad during her high school days.

A four-year starter at Madras, Scott was nominated as a 2012 McDonald's All-American after her senior campaign. Scott averaged 22.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.3 steals per game as a senior. In her final season she led the White Buffaloes to the Oregon 4A State Semifinals for the second straight season and a Tri-Valley Conference championship after compiling a 25-3 record. As a result, Scott earned Class 4A All-State first team honors and was named to the 2012 Oregon State Championship Tournament first team. She also claimed Tri-Valley Conference first team honors and was named the league's Player of the Year in 2012.

 As a junior at Madras she averaged 12.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.6 steals per game. Scott helped lead the White Buffaloes to a 21-8 record and advance to the Oregon 4A State Semifinals. Scott scored 12 points in a semifinal loss to Cascade and tallied 17 against Henley in the state's third-place game. Scott averaged 14 points per game in the OSAA state championship tournament and was named to the 2011 Oregon State Championship Tournament first team. She also earned Class 4A All-State second team honors after her junior campaign. The guard also claimed first team All-Tri-Valley Conference accolades in 2011.

As a freshman, Scott earned Intermountain Conference Honorable Mention Team honors.

During summer 2011 Scott showcased her skills at tournaments in Chicago and the End of the Trail Tournament in Oregon City, Ore., as Team Concept earned first-place honors. Scott chose NM State over Oregon State, San Diego State, SMU, Pepperdine, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Portland and Utah State.
