Tyler Cummings
Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

 

Tyler Cummings begins his second season with the Aggie basketball team as the strength and conditioning coach. He is responsible for overseeing the overall athletic development of the Aggie men and women’s basketball programs including strength, flexibility, speed and agility training.

 

Prior to arriving in Las Cruces, Cummings was the strength and conditioning coach at Northeastern Oklahoma State in Tahlequah, Okla. He also coached the RiverHawk defensive ends.

 

Cummings is making his second stint in the WAC after spending a season as a graduate assistant at Louisiana Tech. With the Bulldogs, he worked with the football, basketball and volleyball teams.

 

In 2006, Cummings earned a bachelor’s degree in education at East Central in Ada, Okla. As an offensive lineman, he was a two-time all-American and three-time all-conference selection at Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva, Okla.
