In 2011-12, Landry played his junior season at Bob Jones High School in Madison, Ala., before transferring to Huntington Prep. He guided the Patriots to an overall record of 29-2 and a semifinals appearance in the Alabama Class 6A Area 15 Tournament. He played AAU basketball with the Alabama Challenge under Robert Shannon. Landry’s full name is Travon Landry but his teammates call him Tray. Landry is 18-years-old, he was born March 11, 1995. Landry is a Business major. He decided to come to NM State because of great visits with associate head coach Paul Weir.  An interesting fact that most people don’t know about Landry is that he used to live in South Korea. Landry has one brother, Jonathon, who is 22-years-old. Landry’s favorite athlete is Chauncey Billups and his favorite team is the Houston Rockets. Landry’s favorite music artist is Jay-Z. If Landry could have one super power he would want to be fast like the superhero Flash. Before every game Landry does a pregame ritual, which includes praying. Landry is the son of John and Tracy Landry.
