LAS CRUCES - New Mexico State senior forward Tyrone Watson has been suspended from all basketball activity, following a charge of a 3rd degree felony.
Athletic Director Dr. McKinley Boston Statement:
"Pursuant to our student misconduct policy, Tyrone Watson has been suspended from all basketball-related activity and will have 72 hours to appeal the suspension if he desires. If he chooses this route, a social misconduct committee consisting of faculty and staff and a campus student would hear his appeal. After the hearing, the committee will recommend to me to either sustain the suspension pending the adjudication of the case, or recommend reinstating him. I could accept or deny the recommendation. I will have no further comments on this case at this time."
