NM State Volleyball Announces Spring Schedule and Summer Camp Dates

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State volleyball head coach Mike Jordon recently announced the 2014 spring schedule, which includes a televised scrimmage against national powerhouse Texas, on April 12.  Coach Jordan also released the dates and information for team and individual camps this summer.

The Aggies, who finished the 2013 season 22-11 with a trip to the NCAA tournament after winning the Western Athletic Conference Tournament title, scrimmage Arizona State Friday, March 28 at 4:30 p.m. in the McKale Center in Tucson, Ariz. to open spring play.  NM State takes on Arizona, Arizona State and New Mexico in a tournament on March 29 with round-robin play starting at 9 a.m.

NM State scrimmages Texas Tech in Ruidoso, N.M. and invites all Aggie fans to watch the action at Ruidoso High School with play running from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1:30 – 4 p.m, April 5.  The Aggies wrap up spring competition on April 12 with a scrimmage against Texas on the Longhorn Network with first serve set for 5 p.m. (MT). Check with your local cable or satellite provider for air times.

Coach Jordan and staff also set dates for summer camps with Individual Camps set for July 18-20, Team Camp July 25-27.  The Aggie volleyball team also has a “Volley Bash on the Grass” tournament set up for Saturday, May 3 with the registration deadline scheduled for April 30.  All proceeds of the event go to the SideOut Club and to United Cerebral Palsy.

July 25:  Two session (A.M. Session and P.M. for out-of-town teams)

July 26 & 27: Schedule is TBA based on how you finish in Pool Play. (as dates approach camp schedule will be emailed to coaches.)

Where: NMSU Activity Center

ALL SKILLS CAMP

When: July 18-20, 2014

Cost: $150 Commuter Camper

$350 for Overnight Campers

Registration/Check-In: July 19 at 3:00pm

Camp Times: July 18; 4-9PM, DINNER BREAK 6-7PM

July 19; July 20: 10AM-5PM, LUNCH BREAK 1-3PM.

Where: NMSU Activity Center and Pan American Center

Walk-Up Campers are NOT guaranteed bed-space, we will do our best to accommodate every camper.

Confirmation: Upon receipt of your registration, we will email you a letter of confirmation. If you have not received a response by July 8 your registration is not on file. Contact Tricia Wright as soon as possible at 575-639-0995. Please bring a copy to check-in as all fees, registration, and insurance information must be complete at check-in.
