Release:  12/15/2011

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) recently announced the 31st annual AVCA Division I All-America Teams for women's volleyball with senior setter Jennah DeVries earning All-American honorable mention honors for the third time in her career.

DeVries earned the honors for the third consecutive year as she led the Aggies and was third in the WAC with 10.78 assists per set. A three-time first team all-WAC selection, she was named to the WAC Tournament all-tournament team.

"We are proud of Jennah and all her accomplishments here at NMSU," head coach Mike Jordan said.  "She is the type of player that we hope to continue to bring into the program and our hope is that players would follow her lead."

She posted 13 double-doubles on the season and closed out her career with 4,051 assists, good for fourth place all-time in the Aggie record books.

The awards will be presented Dec. 16, 2011, in San Antonio, Texas at the AVCA All-America/Players of the Year Banquet presented by Zamst. The event is held in conjunction with the 2011 AVCA Convention.
