DeVries, Hays and Brennan Earn AVCA West Region Honors

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released its list of regional teams, Tuesday, Dec. 6, with seniors Jennah DeVries and Kelsey Brennan earning west team honors, while freshman Meredith Hays earned West Region of the Year honors.

This is the third time DeVries earned first team West Region while this is Brennan's first time being selected.  Brennan is an honorable mention selection and finished the year second in the league and is currently 35th nationally in hitting percentage (.354). 

DeVries closed out her career with 4,051 assists, good for fourth place all-time at NM State, while Brennan finished with 319 career total block and finished tied for 10th place all-time at NM State.

Hays led the WAC and currently ranks 17th nationally in kills (4.42) and tops the conference and ranks 18th in the nation in points (4.94). She posted a career-high 31 kills and ended the season with 500, only the second Aggie to ever record 500 kills in a season and the highest total ever by an Aggie freshman. DeVries also posted her 13th double-double of the season with 54 assists and 15 digs while Hays finished the season with 12 double-doubles.
