2008 (Junior): Palmer played in 11 games for the Aggies in 2008, starting the last four games at right guard. Palmer was a vital part of helping quarterback Chase Holbrook throw for 280 yards a game and rank No. 27 in the country in total offense. The Aggie offense averaged 22.2 points per game, recorded three games with over 100 yards rushing and seven games with over 300 yards passing, including a 486-yard performance against Louisiana Tech (11/22). He helped the Aggie offense rank ninth in the nation in passing offense, averaging 301.3 yards in the air per game and 64th in total offense, averaging 355.6 yards a contest.

 

2007 (Sophomore): Palmer played in 11 games for the Aggies as a back-up offensive lineman. He helped the Aggie offense average 331.9 yards passing per game and 423.5 total offensive yards a game, as the Aggie offense finished fifth in the nation in total offense and 33rd in passing offense. He also helped Aggie quarterback Chase Holbrook finish ninth in the nation in total offense with 322.6 yards per game. Palmer was also part of an offensive line that gave up just 24 sacks on the season, a 16-sack improvement from 2006 (40).

 

2006 (Freshman): Palmer played in four games for the Aggies as a freshman in 2006. He helped the Aggies finish third in the nation in total offense, second in passing offense and 15th in scoring offense. Palmer assisted in the protection of quarterback Chase Holbrook, who broke 21 school records in 2006. He helped the Aggies record three games with over 500 yards passing, five games with over 400 yards passing and 11 games with over 300 yards passing. As a team, the Aggies also broke three total offensive records, six passing records and tied the school’s scoring record. He helped the Aggies record five 100-yard rushing games as a team.

 

High School: Palmer helped his team to a 8-3 record and a third-place finish in district in 2004. His team was 4-4 in 2005 before Hurricane Rita cut its season short. In 2004, Palmer earned second team all-district honors. In 2005 he earned all-district honors helping the team’s running back to a school record 26 rushing touchdowns.

 

Personal: Palmer is the son of Ronnie and Artelia Palmer. He is majoring in communication studies.
