Ben Barton
Graduate Assistant
Ben Barton enters his first season with the Aggies as their defensive graduate assistant, working with the linebacker corps. Barton comes to NM State from Utah State, where he was a defensive quality control assistant, working with the scout team and coach Kevin Clune for the 2009 season. He also handled player personnel during games.
    Prior to Utah State, Barton spent one season with the University of San Diego football team, helping now assistant head coach Dale Lindsey. During his time with the Toreros, Barton worked with the scout team and linebackers.
    While earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska, Barton was also a student-assistant for the Huskers football program from 2006-07.
    A native of Tyler, Texas, Barton graduated from Lubbock Coronado     High School in 2003. After graduation, Barton spent two years at Lake Tahoe Community College from 2004-05.
