82 Ryan Franzoy

2008 (Redshirt Sophomore): Franzoy played in just one game for the Aggies in 2008 at Nebraska (9/13), before suffering a season-ending knee injury.


2007 (Sophomore): Franzoy red shirted the 2007 season after having knee surgery prior to the season’s start.


2006 (Redshirt Freshman): Franzoy played nine games at tight end for the Aggies. He caught a single pass for five yards against Texas Southern (9/16). He also played a key role in the Aggies blocking scheme. 


2005 (Freshman): Franzoy redshirted during his first season with the Aggies.


High School:  Franzoy helped lead the Bears to a second consecutive New Mexico Class 2A title by hauling in 55 passes for 957 yards in 2004. He had seven catches for 148 yards and a touchdown in the team’s title victory over Santa Rosa. He was a first team all-state pick as a junior and senior. The Bears offense scored 50 or more points 10 times in 2004 and the Bears outscored their three playoff opponents by a margin of 149-23. During his three years as a starter, Hatch Valley posted a combined record of 32-4 including a perfect 13-0 mark in 2004. He was a starter on the 2005 Hatch Valley basketball team that went to the state basketball tournament for the first time since 1992.


Personal: He was born in Las Cruces, N.M. and is the son of Ronnie and Anna Franzoy. He is majoring in agricultural economics and business.
