19 Darrius Preston


2011 (Junior): Preston played in nine games for the Aggies in 2011 at wide receiver. He caught just one pass for six yards against San Jose State (Sept. 24).

2010 (Sophomore): Preston played in 11 games for the Aggies, starting seven during the 2010 season. On the year, Preston recorded eight catches for 83 yards. In the season opener versus San Diego State (Sept. 11), Preston recorded two catches for a season-high 27 yards, as well as a career-long catch of 22 yards. Against Kansas (Sept. 25), he grabbed two passes for 15 yards. Preston's final multi-receiving game came against Fresno State (Oct. 16) where he caught two passes for 22 yards, with a long of 15 yards.

2009 (Redshirt Freshman): Preston played in eight games for the Aggies at wide receiver in 2009. He tallied one reception on the season for three yards and rushed for 15 yards on four carries. At Louisiana Tech (10/17), Preston grabbed his only reception of the season. Against Fresno State (10/24), Preston had three rush attempts for 21 yards. He also tallied 18 all-purpose yards on the year.

2008 (Freshman): Preston redshirted during his first season with the Aggies.

High School: Preston was a four-year letter winner at Fort Meyer High School playing both wide receiver and defensive back. During his senior season, Preston caught 62 passes for 1,106 yards and 11 touchdowns. He earned first team all-state honors, as well as all-district and all-county. He also earned a spot in the North-South All-Star game. As a junior, he was the team's leading receiver with 27 catches for 461 yards and three touchdowns.

Personal: Preston is the son of Milton Preston and Yolanda Barnes. He plans to major in biology.
