2008 Freshman: Franzoy redshirted during his first season with the Aggies.

High School: Randy was the starting linebacker for Hatch High School for three seasons. He helped Hatch win three straight state championships, including an undefeated season in 2005. He was a four-time all-District selection as well as a three-time all-State selection and an all-Southern New Mexico selection. As a junior he recorded 140 tackles and five sacks. As a senior, Randy tallied 100 tackles and seven sacks before injuring his knee in the eight game. He also played basketball and baseball in high school.

Personal: Randy is the son of Ronnie and Anna Franzoy. He is majoring in Agricultural Business. His older bother Ryan is also a member of the Aggie football team.
