2011 ( Redshirt Junior): Smith did not play for the Aggies in 2011.

2010 (Junior): Smith did not play for the Aggies in 2010.

2009 (Sophomore): Smith did not play for the Aggies in 2009 after suffering an injury.

2008 (Freshman): Smith played in just two games for the Aggies on the defensive line before suffering a season-ending injury. Against Alcorn State (10/4), Smith recorded one tackle, a tackle-for-a-loss and a sack.

High School: Smith was a two-year starter for Red Mountain High School on the defensive line. He helped lead his team to the state semifinals in 2007, leading the team with 75 tackles and 12 sacks. He was named an all-region and all-state selection in 2007. He was also selected to the Arizona All-Star Game. As a junior, he led the team in sacks and collected 60 tackles. He was named an all-region selection.

Personal: Smith is the son of Edwin Smith and Adah Abbiw Jackson. He plans to major in economics and business administration.
